Wills/Bequests

How to Give

Thoughtful and generous bequests from Estates allow us to finance the essential lifesaving services we provide for our animals. To designate a gift to Friends of Strays, you include a provision in your Will specifying the type and/or amount you would like to give.

Bequests

A bequest requires special language in your Will or Trust. Please consult your attorney to evaluate your individual circumstances and/or prepare your Will or Estate Plan documents.

Friends of Strays, Inc. can be named a beneficiary to a life insurance policy, a set amount of money, or a specific asset (e.g. 100 shares of stock).

Suggested Bequest Language

I give and bequeath to Friends of Strays, Inc., a 501 (c )(3) corporation, Tax I.D. 59-2156540, located at 2911 47th Ave. North, St. Petersburg, FL 33714,  [list amount, asset and/or description] to be used for the accomplishment of its general purposes.

Memorials

You can request that your obituary state: “In lieu of flowers, it is requested that donations be made to Friends of Strays, Inc.”
