Help Friends of Strays, and Give Creative Gifts to Your Loved Ones
St. Petersburg, FL (December 12, 2011)---This holiday season, Friends of Strays, Inc. is promoting creative gift ideas that benefit the homeless animal population of Pinellas County. If you don’t know what to buy for the person who has everything, Friends of Strays suggests that you make your gift memorable and meaningful by making a donation in honor of a loved one, a pet, or even a special occasion.
These unique gifts can be made in cash contributions or by donating much-needed shelter items found on our website’s “Wish List.” You can also turn your pet’s portrait into public art with Murals for Mutts, who will paint portraits in honor of your favorite pet on a public wall space donated to the project. A portion of the proceeds are donated to Friends of Strays and Pet Pal Animal Shelter.
Beverly Passe, Executive Director of Friends of Strays, wants the community to know how grateful this organization is for “the generosity that the community has shown Friends of Strays because we are able to provide medical care and a temporary home to animals in need of care. This holiday season is an excellent opportunity to give a gift that will give animals another chance to have a happy and healthy life.”
Friends of Strays is a not-for-profit organization that provides valuable services to homeless animals of the Pinellas County area. Individual donations, memberships, and the Friends of Strays Thrift Shoppe are the main sources of funding that provide for the daily care, sterilization, and temporary homes for homeless pets. Friends of Strays also educates the general public about the humane treatment and proper care of animals.
