DAYS/HOURS OF OPERATION FOR DIFFERENT SERVICES AND DIFFERENT LOCATIONS:

For Pet Adoption

If you want to adopt on the weekend, please visit our Pet Adoption Center in our Shelter located at 2911 - 47th Avenue North, St. Petersburg. The hours there are 10-3 Saturday and Sunday. The last adoption of the day begins at 2:45 P.M. Phone 727.522.6566.

For adoption Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday, please visit our Pet Adoption Center inside our Thrift Store at 3660 Gandy Boulevard, Pinellas Park from 10-3. The last adoption of the day begins at 2:45 P.M. Phone 727.527.9699.

Both Pet Adoption Centers are closed on Monday.

Web Site Dogs and Cats:

To make special arrangements to see a Web Site dog or cat, you may call 727.522.6566 during or after hours, seven days a week, and leave a message with your name, phone number and the name of the pet who interests you. The call will be returned on the next business day.

To Foster a Pet or to inquire about Volunteering

Please call Joyce, our Volunteer Coordinator, at 727.522.6566 in our Business Office, which is open Monday - Friday, 9-4. Please see the "Foster Home" page and our "Volunteering" Page.

The Business Office is closed Saturdays and Sundays.

Our Thrift Store
Friends of Strays Thrift Store is located at 3660 Gandy Boulevard, Pinellas Park, and is open from 10-5 Tuesday through Saturday. The adoption center inside closes at 2:45 P.M. Tuesday through Friday and is closed weekends. The Thrift Store switchboard at 727.527.9699 is open 10-5 the same days and hours.

Donations

Wills, Bequests and Checks may be mailed to our Business Office at 2911-47th Avenue North, St. Petersburg, FL 33714.

Animal food for cats and dogs (wet and dry), as well as newspapers, beds, cages, carriers, toys and all items on the Shelter Wish List (on this Web Site) may be left at the Business Office/Shelter address, just above.
New and slightly used merchandise donations may be made to Friends of Strays Thrift Store by leaving them with our attendant behind the Thrift Store inside the white fence, any Tuesday through Saturday from 10:30-3, except when raining. Sorry, but we cannot accept donations through the front door.
Furniture and other large donations may be picked up by Friends of Strays. Please phone the Thrift Store to schedule and ask for the Manager, Judith Deal. Large purchases can be delivered to you for a fee, depending on your location and other factors and are usually not made Sunday through Monday.

Friends of Strays may be closed some holidays.
